Having a featured poem on Vox Populi this Saturday morning, belonging to late 2025 is a wonderful benchmark and a real acknowledgement of my continued integration into the Pittsburgh literary community.

Dear Lisa,
Congratulations. Just lovely.
I especially liked the phrase in your poem, “desire cultivates desire,” and the mention of “windowless classrooms.” I am volunteering at a small public school in inner-city Kansas City and I drive by a lot of buildings with smashed windows and it amazes me that in-between these is this school with a playground of children aspiring to learn.
So far everyone has been so kind and helpful and even friendly. These type of experiences are always such a gift to me.
