This group will meet  June 2, 16, & 30 from 7:15 to 9:15 pm. EDST via Zoom to read, write, discuss, and workshop poetry.

$175 ($25 credit per referral if someone you recommend signs up for the class).

Micro-prose and Flash Fiction Workshop
(and prose poetry, too)

Saturday June 5, 12, 19, & 26 1:00-3:00PM ET via Zoom.

This workshop will focus on works that range from 50 to 1000 words and explore the commonalities and differences between lyric prose, prose poetry, flash fiction, and micro-prose. 

$200 ($25 credit per referral if someone you recommend signs up for the class).

Wednesday Afternoon Poetry Workshop and Study Group via ZOOM

This group meets every other Wednesday from 1:00-3:00pm via Zoom. The next 12-week session begins Wednesday, August 25. 

Each week we discuss a chapter from a book about craft, workshop poetry, and respond to a writing exercise or prompt. $190.00 for six meetings plus orientation.

  • Fall Session 2021: August 25 (orientation), September 1, 15 & 29, October 13 & 27, and November 10.

A little about me: Lisa M. Hase-Jackson’s debut collection of poetry, Flint and Fire, was selected by Jericho Brown for the 2019 Hilary Tham Capital Collection Series, an imprint of The Word Works in Washington DC. She holds an MFA in poetry from Converse College in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and a MA in English from Kansas State University. A full-time writing coach and workshop facilitator, Lisa is Editor in Chief of South 85 Journal and founding editor of Zingara Poetry Review. She has been teaching poetry and creative writing classes in the community and as a college professor since 2007.
